Reputation management workshops and strategies

Start-ups, SMEs and charities – establish and protect your reputation in the face on threats.

In a report for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, 58% of business leaders said reputational risk was one of their top five risks in 2024.

Reputation takes a beating when performance does not match expectations. It goes much deeper than communications.

Two 2-hour workshops are at the core of the programme. At the end of this, your senior leadership will have a grasp of:

  • the cultural and societal context in which you operate
  • potential threats to your reputation
  • the opportunities you have to enhance that reputation

There is an optional third module during which you will start to:

  • plan your response to reputational threats
  • define messages you will proactively communicate with your stakeholders

360 Integrated PR also provides ongoing consultancy to develop a full reputation management programme for your organisation.

Session 1 – 2 hours

  • Introduction – what is reputational risk and why does it matter?
  • Review organisational objectives
  • Clarify core principles and values
  • Stakeholder Analysis and Prioritisation
  • Stakeholder expectations

Session 2 – 2 hours

  • Recap goals, principles and stakeholder priorities
  • Identify reputational threats across six areas:
    • financial, quality of service, safety and safeguarding, ethics and representation, geopolitical, cyber and others
  • Identify reputational opportunities
    • where your expertise and positioning enable you to exceed expectations

At the end of these sessions, 360 Integrated PR will provide a summary report of the results, including a matrix of threats and opportunities. This provides the organisation with a practical tool to facilitate further internal discussion and, above all, action.

The final session can be undertaken immediately or after the client has reflected on the results and developed them further. We recommend less than three months between session 2 and 3 to maintain momentum.

  • Recap threats and opportunities
  • Create messaging to engage stakeholders
  • Plan response to threats
    • Grade threat responses – gold, silver, bronze level
    • Actions to take now – e.g. rehearsed statements required, allocate crisis team responsibilities, rebuttal strategy, monitoring priorities
    • Identify further work required – e.g. executive media training, team briefings, induction packs, ongoing staff training

At the end of this session, 360 Integrated PR will provide clients with their reputation management starter kit to enable further in-house reputation development.

These are senior management workshops but, like any effective communications exercise, they benefit from input from people in front-line operations. Therefore, 360 Integrated PR also offers a pre-workshop employee focus group which draws ideas and challenges from within your wider team and provides fresh input to the board-level discussion.

Individual sessions  £1,000 each + VAT
Sessions 1, 2, and 3 booked together  £2,500 + VAT
Employee focus group £700 + VAT
